This last is why you might want to at least interview a Real Estate Agent. Why? Because the agent can show you what they do to help you make more money with less work on your part. They have actual data about homes that have sold recently in your neighborhood. They also know if your area is a HOT area that has enough demand to increase your odds of success in a BY OWNER sale. Most agents will be honest about this in hopes you will call if your BY OWNER sale does not work out.
Remember, if your neighborhood is not especially hot, it will be hard to buck the trends, even if you do have strong business, finance, legal, and sales experience.
